The evening began with Dietlinde Turban Maazel, wife of the late Maestro Lorin Maazel, introducing a sentimental film in honor of the Maestro's dedication to aspiring musicians. Alec Baldwin, joined by his wife Hilaria Baldwin in the audience, introduced the artists and performances.
