PULSE is the American Heart Association's young professionals group supporting AHA's mission of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular disease and stroke. The people of PULSE know that the best results, the biggest breakthroughs, and the most fun come from working together.
- I checked in and began to take pictures inside the venue where I met the event's DJ on duty, DJ Greg Casement
from Bruce Pike Productions. Playing favorites hits from the Top 100 countdown got the party started and the crowd moving. It was great to see young professionals supporting a healthy cause and having fun at the same time. - Sampling a variety of food including Caribbean Chicken Skewer and Seared Ahi Tuna Cake on Rice Cake. Delicious!
- Meeting new people and chatting about new ways to get more involved in the cause. It was nice to meet young working professionals whose passion for charity and helping a community at large is truly commendable. After attending the Heart Ball by AHA, I was touched by the organization thorough efforts and Dylan Coleman's story.
I researched the team's mission and felt a sense of responsibility of educating myself on heart health awareness.
In doing so, I fully understand why charities like PULSE and AHA are important for the younger generation to take part in.
After welcoming remarks by Paint the Town Red Chairs: Glenn Stewart, Steven Albert and Paige Crosby,
DJ Greg Coleman asks for the PTTR host committee members to gather for a picture.
The silent auction included, but not limited to: tickets to the Newseum, classes at CorePower Yoga and a signed baseball by Alex Rodriguez.
The 2014 Paint the Town Red Gala event ended with over 40k raised! Amazing!
